So far, these first 2 months of 2012 have been VERY GOOD to me. I haven’t felt this blessed in a very long time and hopefully it will last much longer. I can’t put a finger on it, but I’ve finally found a reason as to why I’m here and reasons to be happy about it.

• At the rate I’m going, with only 2 and a half weeks left in the semester, I’m more than likely going to finish in the Top 10 of my batch in the College of Arts & Sciences. I have 10 classes this semester worth 30 units and my current GPA stands at 3.85 or 1.21 on a 5.00-1.00 grading scale. I’ve never worked so hard in school and it feels so good. Being a Political Science major is mad work. I just need this one final push through hell week.
• I’ve found the most incredible person in my life; someone who makes me laugh at almost anything and someone who’s supportive and knows how to listen. When we fight, we make up right away. We’re both still learning, but we’re completely comfortable with one another. Just another reason why I feel blessed and genuinely happy for once.
• I’m on my way to being the most fit I’ve been in almost 8 years. With motivation and a little bit of push from that person, I’ve gone from 200 lbs to 182 lbs in just 2 months. That’s an 18 pound difference and it’s made such an impact on my self-esteem and my confidence. And that’s just the beginning. I’m still working towards my goal of 170-175 lbs by the time Summer rolls around.

Anyways, I hope I didn’t jinx myself. But this year is starting to feel like 2007; one of the most memorable years for me hands down. But we’ll see. For now, I’m content and satisfied and could not possibly ask for more.
